Beulah, Tasmania

After having travelled many kilometres up the east coast of Australia, including central Vic, NSW and Qld, I now feel that Tasmania is by far, the most scenic part of Australia.
These photos of Mt Roland and the Western Tiers were taken on my cousin's farms up in Beulah. Simply stunning views!

Mt Hotham, Vic

Mt Hotham is a great place to visit in the summer time. The surrounding areas offer a range of breathtaking views over the valleys and beyond as well as many bushwalking and mountain bike trails for the energetic visitor. We headed up to Mt Hotham from Lakes Entrance. Initially we made our way through the old state forest logging tracks and eventually connected up with the Great Alpine Road. From there, we made our way up the scenic route to the top of Mt Hotham.

Embassies in Canberra, ACT

When in Canberra, it is worthwhile driving around the streets that surround Parliament House to see the embassies which are scattered around the area. Some are magnificent while others are not so.

Parliament House, Canberra, ACT

Parliament House is situated on Capital Hill, south of Lake Burley Griffin. Built in 1988 at a cost of $1.1 billion, at the time of construction, it was the most expensive building in the Southern Hemisphere. Large areas of Parliament House, including the House of Representatives, and The Senate, are open to the public. We were so impressed with Parliament House that we decided to go back the next day and attend a Question Time session in the House of Representatives and observe our country’s leaders at work (or play).
