After an exhilarating walk to Nelson's Falls, we were in the mood for another nature walk and to see some more breathtaking views. Donaghty's Lookout certain fulfilled our desires.
After a very enjoyable time travelling around the west coast, it was time to head down south towards Hobart. On the way, we stopped at many interesting places such as Nelson Falls. A great walking track that passed through a rain forest and eventually lead to the falls.
We made such an impact while in Queenstown that the council decided to name a street after us. Not much of a street, but the view from the top was sensational.
Take a closer look at the football ground...not a blade of grass in sight. "They breed 'em tough down in Queestown".
We did the Wilderness Railway trip from Queenstown to Strahan...it was sensational - we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Like most ‘touristy’ things, it was expensive ($195 each for Premier Class), which included all drinks and lunch plus nibbles. An excellent experience, with some of the most sensational scenery that I have seen thus far in Tassy.
From Waratah, we decided to head to Zeehan for a few days. On the way there, we had to stop at Rosebery to allow the Targa Tasmania racing cars through. It brought back memories from the days that Rani and I attended the car racing at Sandown and Calder Raceway in Victoria. For a few minutes, the testosterone was racing through my veins.
