Mt Nelson, Hobart, Tas

Mt Nelson is an excellent place to visit to take in the views surrounding the Hobart area.

Lake Pedder & Lake Gordon, South West National Park

After being intoxicated with the beautiful vistas of the falls and rain forests situated throughout the Mount Field National Park, we decided to take a long drive through the wilderness area of Tasmania to visit Lake Pedder & Lake Gordon. Absolutely stunning scenery...it was a shame that we had only fair weather on this trip as we did not get to see all that was on offer during this magnificent trip.

Lady Barron Falls, Mount Field National Park

We continued our walk through a beautiful rain forest and finally ended up at Lady Barron Falls. Another sensation experience in Tasmania.

Horseshoe Falls and Tall Trees Walk, Mount Field National Park

In addition to the walk to Russell Falls, we also continued our walk to see Horseshoe Falls and then onto the Tall Trees Walk. This tree was approximately 290 feet or 88 metres.

Russell Falls, Mount Field National Park

While staying in New Norfolk, we decided to do a few day trips. This included Russell Falls, Lady Barron Falls, Lake Pedder and Lake Gordon. A great day of sightseeing, however the weather was only just.

Tarraleah Power Station, Tasmania

Tarraleah Power Station is a hydroelectric power station, which is located in central Tasmania. The power of nature when combined with human ingenuity!

Nature Walks - Central Tasmania

I'm not normally one to get into macro photography, but I could not help but notice the beauty of the smaller things in life.
