Thursday Island Trip - Exploring the island

While on 'TI', we visited the most northern pub in Australia for a beer or two and also had a very nice Barramundi for lunch. We also visited the world's smallest cathedral (according to the tourist guide - Quetta Memorial Church). This church was built in memory of the RMS Quetta, which sank in 1890 in the Torres Strait. Relics raised during salvage attempts months after the disaster, and later, can be found in the church. Note the price of petrol and diesel. It would be expensive to run a vehicle up here.
