Access along the last 16km of road to Palm Valley is quite challenging yet a very exciting drive. The road (or track) follows the sandy bed of the Finke River and is limited to 4WD vehicle only. There are plenty of creek crossings to negotiate and many rough sections to traverse along the way to Palm Valley. A very rewarding experience.
